I'M BAAAAAACK!

Another fantastic vacation --(isn't that what you're supposed to do when retired?) It was nice escaping the desert heat for 3 weeks while we headed to the East Coast.

And even though we stayed at Pig Cove on Southport Island, all we saw were lobsters everywhere!

Another Highlight of Maine

We had a chance to revisit Cushing, Maine where Andrew Wyeth painted the Olson House. This house figured prominently in the famous 1948 painting "Christina's World."
Andrew Wyeth died this year at the age of 91. His son, Jamie Wyeth continues to live and paint on an island near Tenants Harbor, Maine. Here is a short interview with Jamie: http://www.necn.com/Boston/Arts-Entertainment/2009/06/02/Many-moods-of-Maine-The-art/1243994683.html
